Howen Technologies has supported Mowasalat, operator of Qatar's Karwa taxi and bus network, with an in-vehicle MDT solution for its taxi and bus operations. The deployment brings vehicle data, dispatch, and fare-related functions together within a connected in-cabin system.
Deployment Overview
Mowasalat operates Qatar's Karwa-branded taxi service alongside a bus fleet that serves daily commuters and scheduled routes. Howen supported Mowasalat's taxi and bus operations with its Android 11-based Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) solution.
Connected Fleet Operations
The MDT brings vehicle data, dispatch, and fare-related functions together within a connected in-cabin system. Through the CANGO CAN bus solution with DataHub integration, the MDT connects to the vehicle's own systems and displays key vehicle information directly in the cabin. It also supports a pulse connection for mileage and fare calculation, designed around the OIML international metering standard.
